I think Canada does a great job in terms of supplying peace keepers to calm down conflicts.

That won't happen if people see Canada as taking sides in conflicts.

Canada has a direct interest in what happens as a result of that conflict...They have to take a position...They are not only vulnerable, but have had conflicts in the past with Lebanon, making them a sort of revenge target for the people who still recall those conflicts.

But also both of those countries have resentment towards both of the north American counties...So to sit idle would be poor judgment for any one...the least they should do is prepare for possible conflict. or attack

It's not necessary at all. Nobody cares about Canada's opinion anyway and it's not like Canada is going do anything if it does have an opinion except whine about it. Just keep sending that delicious bacon South and we'll all get along.

Yes, I think so. But, there is another option here. Why not refuse to take a side, but show disgust for the stupidity of both sides?

No, please don't. I like the relative neutrality of Canada and hope they stay that way. It gives Canadians a sobering perspective that Americans need to hear.

It's not the Americans that need to hear it. It's the American Govt. that needs to hear it. BIG DIFFERENCE!
American Govt. is not the opinion of ALL Americans.

No, because liberal Canadians can't choose sides. It's in them to waffle and then criticize and appease.
