It is not only the game, perhaps it is the best creation ever... even in its own Final Fantasy series. This can explain by the number of compilation has been release in Final Fantasy VII, for what I've known:

- Final Fantasy VII (PC, PS Game)
- Final Fantasy VII Advent Children (Movie)
- Final Fantasy VII Before Crisis (Mobile Phone Game)
- Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core (PSP Game)
- Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus (PS2 Game)
- Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus: Lost Episode (Mobile Phone Game)
- Final Fantasy VII Last Order (Animation)
- On the Way to a Smile (Novel)

If I'd missed out some of the compilation, please let me know :)

It is a great game and story, difinantly high up there in most games sold too. I prefer FF9 over FF7. I feel 9 didn't get the credit it deserved because of its release for PS1 around the same time FF10 was released for PS2 in the states.

Watch Final Fantasy Advent Children on DVD. Any FF fans who did not play FF7 can also see all the cutscenes and important parts of the game on the special features of FF: Advent Children.

Gaah, I couldnt pass this one up, I love Final Fantasy VII!!!
Its the best game ever! It has an epic plot with characters that you actually care about. I cried when Aerith died, and laughed manically when Sephiroth was around:P
In my opinion there cant be any better game. Sure alot come close, but this game touched a cord within me.

I cant wait for them to remake it, It's been confirmed that after the compilation, they want to start the FFVII remake project. I hope that they dont fail and make a bad piece of crap out of somthing so beautiful.
This game changed my life, in that it changed my views and made me see things in a different perspective.

No, it's hard to put an older game in that list, because of technology differences. For instance, final fantasy twelve has more dynamic characters and maps with the same genre, and therefore makes for a much better game.

Not really the best FF for PC. Some claimed and experienced that the FF7 converted/ translated PC version was pretty unstable and graphics - patchy. For FF series in PC, FFXI is the best with its online experience.
