My partner and myself have totally different tastes in almost everything, yet we get on great! Would it work for all or is it a case of serendipidy

Yes opposites can work together well, but it may take Work to make it work. You both need to realize and talk about your differences and make a rule that your differences won't interfere with your friendship. When your differences clash then another rule is that "no" ALWAYS wins. If you want to do something or buy something and the opposite personality objects, then no wins. Good Luck

YES. ofcourse. provided both of them are very devoted and honest about their work. They don't let their differences of taste or any personal differneces come in between their work. I hope this is the only quality that is helping you together work happily. And yes, if you both are an example, why not the same be with other people also. Provided .........as I said.

ABSOLUTELY! MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN HAPPILY MARRIED FOR 14 YEARS. SURE WE HAVE OUR UPS AND DOWNS BUT WHAT MARRIAGE DOESN'T. IT'S THE EFFORT YOU PUT INTO A RELATIONSHIP THAT MAKES IT WORK. WHEN I MET MY HUSBAND HE WAS WORKING AS A MECHANIC WHILE I WORKED IN A DEPARTMENT STORE. HE WAS INTO BLUE JEANS AND T-SHIRTS, I WAS INTO DRESSES AND HEELS. HE WAS INTO NASCAR, AND I PLAYED TENNIS. WE WERE TOTAL OPPOSITES. EVEN OUR FAMILIES TRADITIONS WERE DIFFERENT. BUT WE LOVED EACH OTHER ENOUGH TO GET PAST ALL THAT. I NOW OWN OVER 20 PAIR OF JEANS. HE HAS 5 SUITS, I HAVE A FAVORITE NASCAR DRIVER AND HE'S SAT IN ON A COUPLE GAMES OF TENNIS.WHEN HE'S HAVING A HARD DAY I TRY NOT TO SHOW THAT MINE WENT THE SAME. AND WHEN I'M SAD HE'S TRYING TO BE HAPPY FOR THE BOTH OF US. ALTHOUGH THEIR IS A LOT OF GIVE AND TAKE A LONGLASTING RELATIONSHIP IS POSSIBLE. GOOD LUCK!

sure you'll probably work out better than most as to have seperate interests means you'll find it easy to give each other space and respect and accept each other's boundaries more. my bf and I are very different yet he's the best bf I've ever known and this is the best relationship I've ever had. The first person I've ever thought of actually marrying after 40 years of life!

It depends majorly on if you both are willing to cooperate to smooth out your problems, and if you have an understanding that you both love each other to make your relationship work!
