Origionally, Disney/Square-Enix were going to release their RPG 'Kingdom Hearts 2' In England on May 26, 2006. However, just before that date, they moved it back to August 25. Does anyone have any ideas why?

It's always been like this with video games (and other Japanese products).
- When I was just a wee lad, I used to read all the snes magazines and see all the advertisements are reviews for all sorts of great looking Japanese RPG's - Secret of Mana 2, Breath of Fire 2, Chrono Trigger and so on. The magazines previewed them, reviewed them, sometimes even gave them release dates, did we ever get to see them - NO!
- It's been like that for the PS1 and the PS2 generations.
- The main reason 'why' this happens is that first the games are released in Japan, prob around 60-80% of the more popular games were then translated into English and sent to the US of A. Then, only the games that were popular in the states were brought out in PAL - that's for us poor people in the UK (sometimes more than a year after their Japanese release date).
- In Japan (and in alot of the world) this tends to happen quite often. They will bring out a range of products, for example digital cameras - they will only export the lower or medium spec models and keep the higher spec models for themselves. Same with Japanese movies - I've seen an interview with a famous Japanese director who said that when many Japanes movies are translate into English - they change the meaning altogether and quite often omit certain bits of info - they do this because they say that you should enjoy the product in it's original 'Japanese state'.
- On a more positive note - I can't see Kingdom Hearts 2 not being released.

i am not sure why but in the U.S kingdom hearts 2 came out in november sometime b cuz my brother got it for christmas but u can still get it even though its not out yet in ur country just go to www.walmart.com and search kingdom hearts 2 and u can by it online and they will mail it 2 you! good luck!

England just isn't ready for this sort of RPG yet.

i heard because it was not ready for release when they expected. i know, it sucks. also if u get it from the USA u need a special disc to make it work. its because we are pal and they are something else.
