Oh, has it started already? When you were born, the people who loved you noted your age in days, then weeks, then months, and finally years. As months make up a smaller and smaller percentage of your life, they no longer seem like such huge blocks of time, to either new parents or the new person.

A year no longer seems to take so long to pass, because it's no longer 1/5 of your life, it's 1/20 of your life. This perception of time will accelerate until time flies by (please make choices that keep you close to the ones you love).

I think another factor is that as you age you will have, hopefully, more responsiblities and committments. These demands on your time will make you feel like you have far less time.

Enjoy!

On our second birthday, you increased your life by 100% since your first birthday. You had lived 1 year, in one year you had increased that by 1 year or 100% of your life so far. Now that you are twenty, each year that goes by is only 5% of your life so far. Each year you live is a smaller percentage of your life so far, so it seems to go by faster.
Oh how I long for those summers long ago when 2 months lasted forever.
