I don't care about typo's grammar, I think most people will agree with me.

Anyone that bashes others on this site because of grammar are probably children, loners, teachers, and people with power trips.

Don't let them get to you.

i think it bothers people because often lots of typos and misspellings can make a question confusing, requiring the answerer to spend time analyzing a question just to figure out what's being asked. Also, it is just a sign of general laziness that someone doesn't care at all about spelling, grammar, and other things. It's like, "if you don't care enough, why should I care about what you're asking?"

Well can't you take the time to actually find the proper spelling? It's not that hard really. I mean, it's going to sit here for the world to see.

I think what pisses me off the most is people that can't take the time to type a few extra letters like "ur" and "b4", but can make plenty of stupid symbols.

A single typo in a question happens. But multiple spelling errors and grammatical errors, such as what are in your question here right now, scare me. They are a sure sign of the ignorance and illiteracy that are running rampant through our country.

If you don't care, that's fine. Just another example of our society's apathy towards education. But for those of us who care deeply about education and bettering ourselves, we encourage children and even adults to get a good education and help to improve our society by setting good examples.

If you had time enough to type out all that, you have time enough to use a spell checker and correct grammar. It becomes a habit that you have to think about less and less.

Good communication is important in polite society. Isn't that what you want to be a part of?

Instead of taking the trouble to answer this question I want to congratulate kja63 for her answer. This is exactly the problem!
We must be the only major country in the world with a rising level of illiteracy!

I think if something is not sufficiently important to warrant your full attention for the two minutes it takes you to type the question, then it's probably not sufficiently important to be posted on the internet for the whole world to read and respond.

If it is minor error, it is forgivable. The issue is when someone simply has no respect for proper spelling, punctuation, or grammar that irritate many people. The spell-check is there to make your question/answer more legible and/or readable for everyone.

Perhaps because typos are annoying and do make the user look dumb; however, it depends on the topic you are commenting on. If you are responding to something like "who is da hottest boi eva????", spelling is not an issue. However, on weightier topics, it is nice to be able to easily read the answers.

I agree with you. We aren't perfect...that's half the reason why we're all asking questions.
