Following then US, Japan is the largest economy in the world, next is Germany, China and Great Britain, in that order. Switzerland isn't even a finalist.

Japan's GDP $4.01 trillion

In terms of people:

Swit's Per capita: $32,300
Japan's Per capita: $31,500

These were 2005 estimates. So in terms of country as a government Japan blows Switz away, but in terms of the average citizen Switz's people have a hair more cash per year.
