Now, now, scrum, you're supposed to be a good, tolerant libtard. Your check is in the mail. Just wait your turn.

WBrian, first good point you've had. I guess if you're a canibal they'd wouldn't be good enough to eat, but I was actually meaning that they weren't good enough to put food in their mouths.

Once again, hatred and venom spewed from the right without a single fact included. I have some facts for you. The majority of welfare states are red states. That means that my tax dollars are going to pay the welfare check of a REPUBLICAN voter Just as an example,

North Dakota, which voted for Bush 63%-36%, takes in $2.03 for every dollar it pays into the federal budget. New Mexico just switched to Bush 50%-49%, seeing as he did such a bang-up job, and not coincidentally they're the second biggest welfare queens, skimming $1.89 for every dollar they fork over. After that, well, you can guess: Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Alaska, all welfare queen states.

Massachusetts, on the other hand, receives just $0.79 for every dollar it gives to Bush's little government, while California and New York get just $0.81 back for each dollar they pay in.

When are you Republicans going to grow up and start facing facts? Nice picture, by the way. I did that kind of drawing when I was in grade school, too.

I think being poor is a choice, just like being on welfare. There are plenty of jobs were you can work, it's just setting aside your pride to work there. We americans do not have any humility, that is the problem.

And I like how people bash on the Republicans. Isn't is us, the GOP, who pretty much consists of the Upperclass and knows how to run a business. Wouldn't you want the people with a higher/better learning curve to run a gov't instead of those who are based out of the working class who do not have a good grip on how to get ahead in life.

Unless they are physically or mentally incapable of doing any kind of work, welfare recipients should be required to work after a given period of time to look for a job. There are lots of jobs aside from farm work, but they should be doing something. They should not be allowed to vote while on public assistance so politicians cannot use them.

Probably same reasons conservative welfare recipients don't do it either: most Americans aren't in good enough physical shape to do those jobs.

There is a feeling of overwhelming independence and satisfaction knowing you work hard to buy the things you need in life. I've been poor, still somewhat poor, I've lost jobs and lived off of fifty cent Little Debbies.....all on my own---but it's a sense of accomplisment. I pay my taxes, work my *** off and for what----my own things, my own life!
Yet---I see it all around me. The unmarried couple with three kids, they have a house, both are in college. They have perfect teeth, pop out babies at our expense and get gigantic tax checks they use at tax season to buy new furniture and household applilances.
They do better off financially than I do...and I work. It's unfair to rob Peter to pay Paul....a portion of my taxes has helped them get their two cars, the white picket fence around their newly purchased house and I sit here in a slum working my *** off. But you know what? It's worth it. I have something they don't---dignity.
