The island of Vanuata in the pacific i think, it rates the highest on the happiness index, so it must be peaceful too.

Iceland, maybe?

For me the most peaceful place on the planet is in a canoe on a lake in northern Ontario, Canada listening to the call of the loon.

That is all in your perception or what you believe to be. Some can be peaceful anywhere, some nowhere. Peace comes from within, although some places are more condusive to feeling peaceful.

Well, being Canadian, I would say Canada. But, also Scandinavia has a pretty good, relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.
