There is a product by Modern Options available at craft stores that will patina copper to a verdis green almost instantly. It is not a harsh or toxic, smelly chemical and will have no affect on wildlife. It is not expensive, either. You use so little of it that the bottle will last forever. No need to seal it either.

Buy some verdi gris paint and paint it. This finish replicates the "old copper" look.

Seriously, pee in a bowl and paint the copper with it - the acid will 'age' the copper beautifully..........

Just spray it with bleach. It will get that nice blue green color very quickly.
