Sorry not around Rchmond and cannot let you have a tin opener, but I can tell you a tale about a frey bentos steak and kidney pie.
My mother in law had a similar predicament, she put the pie in the oven without opening the tin and blew the oven door off, blew the kitchen window out and the contents of the pie were spread all over the kitchen. My father in law said, "I take it the pie's off then", and continued reading his paper.
What has made me want to swear today? Waking up with the hangover from hell and having no paracetamols. Silly Moo.

I know exactly how you feel! Always have one in the camper to have a quick/easy warm meal when we have travelled. You know what? Twice we had the pie, any other time ... Trip to the local chippie because! They are impossible to open! I've wrecked a few tin openers in the process, never mind cut my fingers as well!!!! So i'm keeping an eye on your answers because!!! Someone out there has to know how to open them!!! And then maybe ... Someone else out there will feel as frustrated as we are and join us to petition Fray Bentos, tell them that it was not us ate all the pies because we couldn't open them so can they do something about it as in ...Right now!

Aww, you poor thing!! : )
I wish I was in around the Richmond, Surrey area - I would help you open it!! I find the older shaped tin openers are better at opening them that the more modern ones. I hope you do get it opened though.
And I like how you've thrown it across the kitchen - keep up the good work!! : )

Well, I'm too far away from you to help. But persevere. Go and borrow next door's tin opener. You must have that pie!
