I don't know there is a single one; there are several that come to mind. Washington, Lincoln, Grant, T Roosevelt, FDR, Reagan.

GW isn't done yet, but he's done some great things too. It takes cajones...

Clinton? Come on. He was ok, not outstanding. There was a GOP congress then. Some argue that he is most responsible for OBL too. I don't think he was aggressive enough, but I wasn't there, so who knows.

My issue with Clinton is his womanizing. People on this board still take shots at that. He was "interesting" though. The fights 'tween he and Hillary must have been a hoot.

A lot of Presidents have been womanizers, but they didn't get caught. So what does that say? He came clean when DNA evidence was going to come (oops) out. (No pun intended. LOL)

Eros, you're a moron. But Bush is the greatest President we've had this century....not saying too much becuase he's the ONLY President we've had this century.

The greatest? Has to be Lincoln. With what he had to face and what he managed to do in his time in office, he's more than worthy of the title.

It is tough as there are lots of comparisons....do you think a wartime or non wartime....as far as wartime presidents go...I would say Lincoln...who unified the country after the south illegally seperated.....as far as peacetime...I would say Reagan would rank up there...Lowered inflation and unemployment from numbers you can't even imagine today....double digit interest rates in the late 70's and early 80's. Note that we only tend to know the most about those who were president during our life though.

It's amazing that Washington isn't mentioned more often, I guess because it was so long ago and Washington is remembered more as a General then as a President.

Washington was the greatest
Lincoln and FDR were great
Reagan, T. Rooselvelt, Eisehhower would be next
