The New York Jets play in the Meadowlands in New Jersey but they were never called the New Jersey Jets. They used to be called the New York Titans and changed to the New York Jets in the 1960s.

Nope, neither the Jets or Giants have ever been called New Jersey. The Jets used to be called the Titans a long time ago. When the USFL existed, a team played in the same Giants stadium, and they were called the New Jersey Generals. They had Herschel Walker.

No. Frankly I think both the Giants and Jets should either be called the New Jersey Giants and New Jersey Jets or call themselves the New York/New Jersey Giants and Jets to at least acknowledge the Garden State's role in their existence but that will never happen.

Not seriously but casually they are called the New Jersey Jets all the time since in reality they are a Jersey Team playing in Jersey.

WOW... that's funny... and the answer would be NO!!
If anything they should change the New York Giants to the New Jersey Giants... since they were playing in that stadium first.
Keep my Jets... New York!!

No, since their team offices is located in Hempstead, New York. Calling them the New Jersey Jets would make a lot of sense, since their home stadium is in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

No. The only other name the Jets have had was the Titans, in their first 3 years of existence.
