First of all, your friend shouldn't be rude to you be rude to you just because you got your period. That is a little mean.... Secondly, tampons do not hurt at all! I promise(: I was nervous before i used them for the first time, and to make it a little easier, the slim/slender sizes work best for beginners. Plastic is also a better choice, compared to cardboard (ew). When you said you would be swimming the next day, i hope you know that you can not go swimming when you are on your period unless you wear a tampon. (: If you are still against wearing a tampon, maybe you could wear a pad, shorts and a bikini top, and just soak your feet in the swimming pool. If you are still embarrassed about what your friends will say, you could say that you aren't feeling well, and that is why you only want to dip your feet in. I hope this helps!

If you are in doubt: do not do it. If you will do it, make sure that your friend meets all the criteria for the job and make a point of the fact that there will be no favortism whatsoever. Otherwise you could run into a disaster. I know people who hired their friends and are happy with that, and I also know people who ran into a disaster. I had hired a friend and ran into a disaster---I decided therefore, that for the position I had to fill, a qualified person, who had to meet all the criteria and pass a background check. That worked a lot better for me. It depends on what position it is and what the expectations from you and from your friend are.....Good Luck

Probably not a very good idea, unless the two of you are able to separate your professional lives from your private one. Most people would expect preferential treatment, even though they wouldn't say so. They would expect to have a say-so in your business matters just because they are your friend. But, if you don't hire your friend it could ruin your friendship anyway. Still, I would have to vote no.

You haven't exactly mentioned what kind of trouble you are expecting... Let me tell you one thing though.. Most of our troubles are created by our own ignorance... If you think that something is gonna go wrong then you will subconsciously find a way to make things go wrong..
You should view this as a good thing that you are getting to work with your best friend.. If you still think it will lead to trouble, then i suggest you find your friend a similar job somewhere else... At least that way you won't have to worry about keeping your friend from getting a job...

hire them because they are the best person for the job not because they're your best friend! my dad once hired a good friend of his and everything worked out fine. if they fit the bill then go ahead and see how things go!

Don't do it!
Never get a job for someone at work thats either friends or family. You will feel as though they are your responsibilty and their actions will reflect on you. Been there done that. Dont do it.

If you are worried, you must have real reasons to be worried. Can you talk to your friend about your concerns?
It's true, a working environment can put stress on a relationship. You are right to consider it carefully.

If you hire her, Hire her because she is the best candidate for the job not because you are friends.

If you want your friend to remain your friend, youd better not. That is ugly, they can slack off and do a bad job, and because you are their friend, you cant be their boss too!!!
