In the light of "AntiAmerican" worldwide sentiment, internal issues, the willingness of people to kill our citizens, and the unmistakable strenghthening of the "right" in American politics..could we head back to our diplomatic stance prior to WW1. Maybe everyone would be better off if Americans stayed out of other countries problems and spend all of our resources within our own borders. We could find some way to meet our energy demands, our universities would find some way to fill the classrooms with Americans, and we have plenty of infrastructure to keep our military personal busy while making us stronger.

We can not isolate ourselves as a country, the economy is a global one built on exports and imports. Trade with and by other countries is a valuable commodity. . I don't feel we ,with the exception of Iraq, are meddling into other countries affairs. We are a part of the world and have the right to answer another country's call or need for help. And yes I feel that religion has no place in our government,I believe in total separation of church and state. I do not wish to be force fed, any ones views on their religious doctrine. Our infrastructure is in need of attention/rebuilding /repair but its far down on our present party in powers list, all the money is being wasted on an undeniably futile war being waged in a country that hates us and all we stand for. I love my country and I will do everything in my power to defend her and I will not stand helplessly while I see what is happening in Washington. I will get out the vote ,I will become more aware of who what the enemy is and I will fight to help reestablish this great country in the eyes of the world. But we can not stand alone at a time as dangerous as the times we live in now.

We may not have it happen by choice, but there is the possibility that we could tell many of the countries on the planet - don't call us we'll call you when it comes to their national defense. Moves are already taking place to move the US out of the bogus, third world-run UN and cut off funding for an institution that only wants to destroy the US. This include so-called allied backstabbing countries like France. We should cut them all loose, from giving them military aid, to cutting off all financial aid and return to becoming a once more self sufficient people as we once were.

Would the pros of isolationism outweigh the cons? Be taking an isolationist stance, we may further alienate ourselves from the rest of the World. Even though we may bring our military home and not meddle in the affairs of other countries, there'd still be scrutiny.

Sometimes I'd like to see the US take a more isolationist approach to the world, but I wonder how that would impact us financially and technologically.

hi Blue, in simple terms watch the moral Majority! Jerry Falwell and his team are shifting into route of accomplishing a church and state amalgamation. i believe that it's going to in basic terms take some extra organic failures to hit the united states and they'll be crying out for the country to get decrease back to church believing that those failures are God's punishment for the country's waywardness. The political clout that this team already consists of is bordering on standover procedures. George W. does no longer be President yet for the useful manipulation of the Florida vote instigated by those human beings. u . s . a . of america pay attention! you're heading for a religious upheaval which will defy your constitutional rights. Watch the information! H'chat.

No, we tried it before and it didnt work. The world has changed and we now live in a global society. America can not be invovled because she is. America is connected to major economic powers and emerging ones through trades, loans and resources. The world would not be better off because if america isolated everyone, everyone else would lose a large trading / lending partner.
