It's an interesting story, but fiction. As in, it's not real. I like exploring possibilities of religion, but I don't accept it as truth because it was not intended to be.

Also, I doubt any bloodline of Jesus would sprout such a ruthless and nasty line of flithy kings. I don't believe there is one anyway.

The people that get all upset and throw fits over the DaVinci Code are kinda funny though. I guess they don't realize the difference between fiction and non-fiction.

Simply a better than average book. Deception Point by Dan Brown is a more interesting read I believe... Steve Berry (in my opinion) is a better writer and twice as controversial. I believe that the mega success of DaVinci is an enormous amount of luck and societies need to do what everybody else is doing. Try walking through an airport and counting how many people are reading this book, it is amazing. You would think this book was written by the Lord Himself.

Great book! The epilogue could have been left out. Read it in about 3-4 days! Haven't seen the movie yet, but I don't really have any desire to. Tom Hanks was a bad pick for the lead.

As for being plagiarized, LoneStar... a court found that Dan Brown DID NOT plagiarize (although the losers are sorely appealing), so perhaps you should do more research before you state inaccurate tidbits. For your reading pleasure:

I have no idea why everyone got so upset over the book. It IS a FICTIONAL novel. People can't seem to differentiate between real and fiction. It's sad really, because it just proves my theory that Americans are getting more stupid with each generation. Come on! It was written as fiction for entertainment. Jeez.

As a book, average thriller. As a theory, flawed beyond belief. I'm not christian but there are just too many factual errors made for me to really enjoy that novel.

Plagiarized from "Holy Blood, Holy Grail"

And Emmybiz, I don't give a rat's patootie what that judge ruled. Read "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" and decide for yourself. Assuming you can read. How's that for a tidbit.

It's fairly good until it gets close to the end. I think the ending is predictable and he hurried to write it to finish the book.

I think that it is mediocre as a fiction novel...starts out strong, ends strong, don't bother reading the middle
