White people bought slaves (it was the thing to do back then) but do you know who they bought them from? Other black Africans...the educated, civilized ones. They sold their own people (the uncivilized ones from the bush) to white Americans.

slavery has been around since the beginning of time and is still present today in all countries including the u.s. many see slavery as only a issue for blacks but its not, every race, creed or sex has been enslaved at one time or another in every country at one time or another. think of it in today, in your city....how many people do you know working jobs with low pay, little or no insurance or benefits at the mercy of their bosses being verbally or physically harassed daily because they have no where else to turn? it is worse in third world countries where different segments of society whether based on race, sex or wealth determines who rules and who serves. take north korea for instance...kim jong il lives in splendor and rules while his citizens starve in horrible poverty, their only job is to serve him and if they don't they die. only in the u.s. and some european countries are citizens allowed to do better than their leaders......
