I have checked all the windows - no openings. My mother on the 2nd flr is having the same problem. Any answers for this problem?

I agree-- there is a entry into the home and a good source nearby-- or you have something that is acting as a nursery for fly eggs/maggots-- and that something may be outside the door you use most frequently. Common sources-- meat/food items not disposed of in air tight containers, dogfood dishes, -- neighbor has dogs and food dishes-- See if you can locate the source-- then take care of that. Dirty garbage cans can also harbor maggots--
good luck

This happend to me alot also, here is some thing that could be the problem, that you are unaware of:

Check all the Air Conditioner systems, make sure there are no gaps that a fly could get through, flies can get through anything so I usually put some duct tape around my AC, do the same for the middle of the window, where the lock is.

Have you added a Tv dish on your roof recently with a wire comming through the walls? Check it and make sure that it is filled with caulk.

i think that you should dispose any attractive things ,and close any thing that may cause the flies to come to your house.i also think that before you dispose garbage you should make sure it is closed so if it is close to your house they wont come in,that also goes for when you keep garbage in you house you should make sure it is closed so it won't attract any flies .sorry for writing so much.
