The Open Door is the forthcoming second commercially released album by American Rock band Evanescence. It is set for release on September 30 2006 in Australia, October 2 2006 in Europe and October 3 2006 in North America. Not much is currently known about this album, but here are some facts:
There have been 18 songs recorded; the recording lasted from September 2005 to March 2006.The first single is "Call Me When You're Sober". The video will be shot in July of 2006 and will be directed by Marc Webb. It will be released on radio on the 7th of August.As present in Fallen, the album will contain both string and vocal ensembles. It is said to have a lot of organ.About the title: "I think it's just a great representation of everything that making this album has felt like. There's not really anything holding me down. I feel free, and as a writer, like, Terry (Balsamo, guitarist) completely lifts me up in my writing and we had fun with it. Every kind of chance you could take, we just went ahead and took it, and had a great time." - Amy Lee.
Touring will start in the US/Canada in October, and Europe in September[citation needed]
"All That I'm Living For" was written by John LeCompt.[citation needed]
The song Amy Lee wrote for the Narnia movie is not included on the album in its entirety; instead, part of it has been used as the intro of Good Enough.

regrettably Amy Lee said decrease back in July that the recent album has been in the back of time table indefinitely. i imagine she became no longer completely delighted with each and each of the songs, so they're going decrease back to the drafting board for a short at the same time as longer. it is too undesirable. i became waiting to hearken to the finest suited woman vocalist contained in the history of Rock lower back. now to not coach those beautiful eyes! with any success it will be released this coming iciness or Spring.
