What message or inspiration have you taken from song?

the poet can bring the melody to life with their words if they are very skilled... more often i find that the melody adds color and feeling to the words (the message) that it accompanies.

music can carry ALL possible messages: inspiration, love, angst, and peace are but a few. personally, i've found inspiration from music most often because a song reminds me of a person i've met or a place i've been before. and those songs that create a mood and carry you away into the mystic with the one you love, are as fulfilling as almost any experience you can share with each other.
