Ok so, i'm going to my dad's camp this weekend and we've planned to go swimming (in a lake/beach type thing) on Sunday. We're leaving tonight (today is friday). I'm unsure if I should go because I got my period yesterday during the day and I don't know if it'll be ok to go swimming during my period and i'm unsure if my period will be light by Sunday.

My question is, should I take the chances of going and is it ok to go swimming while on my period? Some people say that if you use a tampon it'll be ok but I don't know how to use those nor do I trust them so don't suggest that please.♥

I guess there is really no point of going if I can't go swimming.

Serious answers please.

If you don't want to use a tampon then no don't go. How has it been before? Will it be light by day 4? If so, then just go in the water ... wear a dark bathing suit in case some comes out in between the car/house and the lake or when you get out. All the best sweetheart!

I was under the impression that if a girl is having an active period, she has to use a tampon to go swimming.

There are websites that show the method of how to insert a tampon, it is not as bad as you think probably.

Here's a web address or two, and I would not go if you aren't going to be able to swim!

First advice: borrow a tampon from a pal. i'm VERY respectful to my mom and what she says, yet one tampon for some hours isn't gonna kill you. 2d: possibly placed on a pad until eventually it is your turn. Run to the bathroom, get wiped clean up, do your difficulty, placed on a pad ASAP. in a large number of situations your era will relax because the week is going on. So day after today, you're able to tug this off. i do not recognize that you've many different techniques...yet solid success Sister!

Tampons are good but if you don't want to wear them you can go swimming regardless.

This is what you do.

Take a bath before you are about to get in the pool. Something about emerging yourself in water stops your flow. So to stop your flow before take a bath and then go to the pool. You'll be okay.

Plus, you'll be in water which will dilute any blood that should be in the water. You'll be fine since you'll be moving around.

Go swimming!!

I've only ever done it with a tampon, but I've heard people say that yeah, it's fine, as long as you change and use a pad like as soon as you get out of the water.

Yes tampons work you'll be fine. Just squat down and slip it in. I used to put them in for my girlfriend all the time Because I wondered how they went in.

Try a tampax and go swimming. The cold water slows down the flow anyway. Enjoy yourself!!!!
