I am not male but I was asked twice to be the brides honor attendant & both times I was asked to give a toast. It was very nerve racking! You have to try your best for your best friend/brother because he is counting on you. Not too much pressure, huh? I tried to focus on a memory which showed how much fun we had together which in turn gave the impression how important the person is to me. Then I worked in how happy it made me to see the joy in the relationship with the "spouse." Then I finished by asking all the guests to wish the couple all the best in love, & may all their dreams come true. Boy, am I glad that's over! Good Luck & just do your best that will definitely come thru & for that your friends will love you for it.

Here's some ideas:

To______and_______, may all their ups and downs be between the sheets!

He's a prince, he's a topper, he's the King of the dance. And he frightens the horses when he takes down his pants!

I can honestly say that in all the years I've known him, no one has ever questioned _________'s intelligence. In fact, I've never heard anyone even mention it.

tell a personal story about your relationship with the groom or the couple - something funny or memorable will come to you! -make sure you end by wishing them the best (long and happy marriage, to be in love forever, etc.) and proposing a toast....

In my opinion, stories about the groom are funny, but also, you should end by re-assuring the bride and her family that he is basically a good guy. Your stories should reflect his virtue and honor, and also be funny.
