I blame the media. No, seriously, I think if we can rise above the way others treat us, and start treating THEM the way we know we're supposed to, most will reflect the sentiment. That's the decision I made a year ago, and basically, it works. I treat everyone as if they were someone important, and I tend to get the same treatment in return. Take care!

No I think this as well. Its a shame that people don't even speak as they pass one another on the street. Forget about excuse me or Sorry! when they nearly run you over. They look at you like its your fault! Table manners are a thing of the past as well.
Peace, love, and happiness.....and manners go a long way!

I totally agree with you. I have recently noticed that people in today's society lack manners. What's up with that? Like it is so hard to say "Thank you" when someone does a favor for you. "You're welcome" when someone says thank you to you. "Yes ma'am" when an elderly woman asks you a question. "Please" when you're asking for something. Get with the program! The world would be such a nicer place if we gave each other a little bit more respect and actually used some manners. I will always use my good manners and I will en-still that trait into my children!

Unfortunately it's true. Good manners appear to have been forgotten by very many people (especially by drivers, and almost anyone - although not all - who works in the service industry).

I agree, people's manners definately seem to be falling by the wayside.
I particularly hate people who spit in the street and just drop litter all over the place!

Yes, many of them aren't taught manners as children and don't understand how important they are in every kind of relationship and in society as a whole.

No, its not just you. I also think the same. But its old and young alike these days. Which is a great shame. The media is a big cause as someone has already mentioned.

Absolutely! that is because people are more open, with everything. How they dress, where they go, there are no secrets. And you can definitely say whatever you like, with out a thought or care for others well being.

I think it is the degree of freedom that escalated to an extend that a father is afraid to say some harsh to his son in other not to infringe on his human right. It is to an extend that everybody is on his own
