Of course they are, a nation has a right to defend itself, hamas and hezbollah have both declared that they will eradicate israel from the planet, it sound to me as if Israel needs to do more to change their twisted minds. (Israel has nuclear weapons, they should be very prepared to use them)

Yes. There was actually a U.N. resolution 2 years ago requiring the Hezzbolahs to leave the southern part of Lebanon. The Lebanese government has done nothing to make that happen, and the Hezzbolah (terroists) continue to attack and provoke Israel. And if you think Lebanon is getting a spanking, wait until Iran sticks their nose in. Israel has been very restrained over the past years, but the gloves are coming off, and somebody over there has a whooping coming.

If Lebanon were to harbor people who attach Israel, then Israel is allowed, under international law, to attach Lebanon.

Some version of this question comes up several times a day. So I made a copy of this so I won't have to retype it several times a day.

"Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defense if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defense shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security."

Israel is not justified 4 their madness neither is Hezbollah.. Hezbollah kidnapped soldiers without the government knowing it so y blame a hole country for some stupid maniac group actions? Its really sad seeing innocent ppl paying for their crazy government actions its really is.. I am Muslim but does it mean its ok to see Israeli or Lebanese ppl being killed?? Absolutely not!!

Am really surprised 2 see ppl cheering up 4 Israel and Hezbollah actions and the only thing they are doing is killing civilians.

Hezbollah started this madness and I think Israel shouldn’t respond as a crazy terrorist group!! They simply should attack Hezbollah and keep it between them not go and strick Beirut and Lebanese cities

I think that Israel is completely justified in attacking Hezbollah and Hamas. It is unfortunate that these entities reside in areas full of innocents. Truthfully, they all just need to throw their respective blows and get it over with. Someone needs to win and someone needs to lose for there to be any actual peace in the area. Treaties are band-aids to the wound that is the Middle East. Their only cure is a war, and I hate to see how things will unfold.

Israel is justified to self protection. those communities call for the destuction of Israel. in the journey that they don't take the offensive in this example then they're going to be pushed into the sea. in order that that you comprehend, Hezbollah and the Palestinians have also killed harmless Israelis. North Korea has examined their guns yet not in any respect did damage to absolutely everyone. They not in any respect killed absolutely everyone nor did they threaten to explode Japan. The Muslim countries continuously terrorize Israel and prefer to damage it is existance. it is merely too undesirable that it has gotten out of hand. Too many human beings have died. the answer's peace yet my answer is unrealistic. How can Iran settle for Israel's existance in the journey that they prefer to blow them up? i desire peace would properly be executed sometime.
