what i listen for is the melody, beat, and lyrics. and what genre it is. if you hate the genre, why bother listening? also, is you hate buying a cd that has absolutely no good songs or maybe just one or two, look at the reviews. and the artist. good artists make good songs. but the most important thing is if you feel it or not.
