Any flight that originates outside the US must give a full passenger manifest before entering US airspace, which includes passport number and credit history, or the plane cannot land at the scheduled destination. Period.

You cannot fly into the United States without a passport from your country and a Visa allowing you into the United States.
A citizen of a foreign country, wishing to enter the U.S., generally must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. The type of visa you must have is defined by immigration law, and relates to the purpose of your travel.
You are not allowed to come into the United States without a visa or else you are breaking the law and will be charged and sentenced as a criminal and then deported with no chance of ever obtaining a Visa again.
Do it the right way.

You don't need a social security number to buy domestic airfare. Your friend will need a driver's license or government issued identification card with his picture on it.

passport & Visa... w/out Visa who's going to let him in...
No one cares about SS# at port of entry.

he cannot fly from mexico to the u.s. but he can fly from the u.s. to mexico...go figure...our immigration laws at work
