I was a kid (1-10) in the eighties. I used to love playing with fire, and I started many fires. (Although I usually didn't get into much trouble over them. They were "controlled" I guess). The worst trouble I got into was when I started a fire in my grandmother's microwave. There was also a time when my cousins, friends, and I started a bonfire in my cousin's front yard. That was fun.

Aside from starting fires, there was also a time when I discovered you could melt cheese and use a plastic spoon to flick it onto the wall or ceiling. So one night my friend and I melted cheese solely for that purpose and flicked it all over the ceiling in what was then my room. It dried, and my uncle tried to scrape it off, but parts of the ceiling came off with it. He couldn't get it all off, but he did paint over the whole thing. To this day you can still tell the cheese is/was there.

I had to babysit my younger sister, who at that age was mean and spiteful....well she is still that way many years later, but I digress.
The deal was I had to watch her for the afternoon and get all my chores done, plus make sure she finished hers. If I did that I got to go to my best friends slumber party that all the cool kids were going to.
Well she wouldn't do her chores because she said she didn't want me to go out and she would have to stay home.
So I took a nightgown I was folding and smacked her across the face with it. I thought I broke her nose, blood flew everywhere.
When my mom got home and asked what happened I told her I wasn't sure, I came around the hallway corner and there was my sister sitting in a pool of blood. Maybe she had low blood sugar, passed out and smacked her head.
I got to go out that weekend, I did have to do the rest of my sisters chores before I left though. She had to go to Drs appointments all the next week to get blood tests done.
We did worse things to eachother when we got older, but you did say pre-10. ; )

I pulled a chair out from under the kid who sat next to me in first grade. That was the only time I ever got in trouble in school.
