Either Mazeroski's homer in the 1960 Series, or Bobby Thompson's Shot Heard Round the World in 1951 for the Giants vs. the Dodgers in the one-game playoff to decide the NL pennant.
Or Aaron's 715th in Atlanta in 1974.

Royals down 2-1 to the Yankees, Goose Gossage pitching to George Brett...Brett rips a letter hit fastball from Gossage into the upper deck in Yankee Stadium, the 3 run homer sends the Royals to their first World Series.
BTW and just for information..The famous HR by Bobby Thomson off Ralph Branca in 1951 ended a three game playoff between the Giants and Dodgers...And it is "Thomson" no "P".

DEFINTITELY has to be David Ortiz in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS against the Yankees in extra innings. If he doesn't hit that home run, the Yankees probably would have swept the Sox. Of course, that homerun catapulted the Sox to 4 straight wins over the Yankees, then a clean sweep of the Cardinals to win their first World Series in 86 years! Big Papi!

Aaron Boone for the Yankees in the playoffs. That was the walk off homer to end the ALCS against the Red Sox.

Since I haven't paid serious attention to baseball until about 2003, as a Yankee fan, I'd have to say Aaron Boone's walkoff home run in game 7 of the A.L.C.S. to send the Red Sox packing and the Yankees to the World Series.

Joe Carter, Game 7 '93 World Series off Mitch Williams
The homerun that wins the World Series? Every little boy's dream.
I don't think Carter's feet touched the ground when he was rounding the bases.
I don't even like the Blue Jays, but it's moments like that that make me love baseball.
Gibson's shot off Eck in '88 was special, too.

#1. Bill Mazeroski's 9th inning homerun to defeat the Yankees in the 7th game of the 1960 World Series. #2. Babe Ruth's called shot homer in the 1932 World Series vs the Cubs. Mazeroski's homerun was the best because it won the World Series over the heavily favored Yankees. Babes's homer was significant because it added more to his legend!
