Relate only in remembering that time. My oldest daughter was in high school in 1985.

that's a great song-I'm just a tad youunger than that,
graduated high school in '87, and I don't have kids,
but that song is a great example of how things have changed.
My town doesn't even have a record store anymore!
If I want music I download it onto my iPod or I go to the bookstore! Life is so different...

I totally relate to it. I was growing up with all of the things named in the song.
I was talking to my 17 year old sister in law (who didn't know who Whitesnake was, much less who was dancing on the hood) about the song and she loves it, but didn't get any of the references!!!
I was going to marry John Taylor from Duran Duran, btw... lol

I think the songs funny and the videos cool. None of my parents really live in the past so i don't really relate to it, but i think its a cute and original song.
