I have been doing research for some time now and I'm trying to find the true answer to why relationships fail. I believe that relationships fail because people do too much lusting and think that it is love while forgetting to look or even glance at the personality.

You haven't considered the most obvious reason - man is not a truly monogamous creature. Humans are serially monogamous, meaning we have a tendency to stay with the same mate for a period of time, and then move on. Almost all species that require investment in the young behave this way, it's just that human babies are vulnerable for so much longer than almost any other species.

A relationship is an agreement, a mutual agreement. It fails when one or more of the involved parties no longer agrees to the mutual agreement.
