I don't think that there is any one out there that claims to know it all. If I may add not even in one field of study. The greatest ambition of all scientists is to find that theory that explains it all. I mean every thing including whether we will be able to find that theory or not! It will explain the origin, predict the end, predict whether I will be wearing pyjamas to work tomorrow and etc. It is safe I think to say that we will never be able to discover such a theory. As far as the issue of Origins go, every theory has some assumptions. Some thing has got to have been there for ever. The Creationists say God, the Evolutionists say Material. (By the way, I believe in Creation.) Thats the bottom line. Take your pick! :-)

It is unreasonable to assert that our species, at this relatively early point in our social and biological evolution, should have figured out the most difficult questions concerning the origins of the universe. It may take us many centuries to find the answers. It's not that we're not smart enough right now. It's more a matter of the difficulty of the task.

Intelligence is not the knowing of things. It is the use of appropriate logic and analysis to learn things from the available data. We do not know everything, and never will, but we know a lot and can learn more. One thing we do know is that it is neither necessary nor useful to suppose an existence of God to understand how the world works.

Man is intelligent enough to admit that we do NOT have all the answers about the universe yet. Only the religious fundamentalist bimbos make that claim.

Anyone who claims to be "so intelligent" really isn't. The smartest people out there are the ones who admit that they don't know eveything and keep searching for the truth, whatever the question might be.

We are intelligent compared to other species. We are not intelligent in the absolute sense. No one Claims we know it all

"for man to think he is so intelligent"

"Think" may be the key word here. And to what degree of intelligence?
"We are "all ignorant", about different things" (quotes are mine)
