Well, if they already hated us before we won, they are going to hate us even more, now that the World Cup is in Rome, don't you think? ;-)
I personally don't mind them trashing Materazzi or the Italian defensive style. Materazzi does have a bad record in the Italian league, and the only reason he was playing was because Nesta was injured. I can understand that some people prefer to watch offensive soccer because it's more exciting to their eyes. As for those who call the Italian players divers and cheaters, who cares, like other teams didn't dive...
What I really can't stand is when they diss us, the Italian nation, our people. That's unacceptable. It's racial abuse. I even read someone justifying their hatred for Italians because they sound like a bunch of retarded when they speak with their ridiculous accent!!! Come on, how good can this person's accent be if they spoke Italian or any other foreign language, at that!? (Btw I'm an Italian living in the USA and nobody can tell I'm from Italy when I speak English, so again, stupid generalizations).
Oh, and we are Mussolini's children and Mafiosi. I'm going to have to take a history class in college just to see how WW2 is taught in the USA. We Italians will always be grateful to Americans for freeing us and help us rebuild our country after the war, but don't forget that Mussolini was killed by the Italian partisans who had already freed the North of Italy when the American troops got there. As for Mafia, I guess many people here must have watched "The Godfather" too many times ;-)
Come on people, every single country is great! So is Italy and so is France. Stop making war! Peace out!

I believe many are NOT anti-Italians and I am one of them.
But the fact is, with all this posting by "some of the Italians" its totally targeting the French. ( BTW I am not French ).
All I read abt is abt "MATERRAZZI".. Nothing abt "THE ITALIAN".
But some buggers are messing around insulting the rest of the France nation. Uncall for....
But of cos, if Materrazzi represents the whole Italy in ur point of view.. then I understand why u post the above question.
And 2nd place isn't loser... so I believe the French won't know how it feel..

There's 4 kinds of people 1) people who call any attack on Israel anti-Semitic 2) people who more or less support Israel and attack racists 3) people who more or less don't support Israeli policies but still attack racists 4) Racist people who believe Jewish people are in on a giant conspiracy Types 2 and 3 are most people, and they have genuine debates. Types 1 and 4 are what you mostly find on the internet. Mainly type 4.

They deserved the win. After only letting in one own-goal and one penalty goal in the whole World Cup - plus 24 games undefeated leading up to the final - not to mention having every game's fans overwealmingly against them - they were true champions. As for the crybaby English and American fans - boohoo. Keep giving excuses.

I personally don't care about soccer, but if I were to choose French or Italian...... I would definitely choose ITALIAN!!!! Those boys are hot too! LOL Anyway don't hate anybody..... we are all human. My grandmother is Italian, so really I'm with you! :0)
