just curious as to what other women think

Despite wanting to think otherwise, I always believed it was, but am not so sure these days. Women seem to be getting what they want more and more, but can't help feeling there has been some sacrifice in the process. I guess in terms of the fact that we as women can bear children, it will always be men who have ultimate power, like in politics and careers etc. But then knowing men as I do, they'd so be lost without us.

NO NO NO!!!
Women can do anything men can and more, there are lots of things they choose not to but this is not because they can't do it!
What would men do without us? The number of women in powerful positions is increasing all the time, Maggie Thatcher is not the best example but maybe one day we will have a (good) woman PM! USA may also catch up and get a female president.....couldn't be worse than the current one!

That really depends on where you are in the world. E.G> in the west we try to pride ourselves on equality and equal rights, equal pay, equal this and equal that But then in places in the east and far east the female role is more subservient and the man is regarded higher in society. However this is slowly changing.
During my time in Japan i was amazed to see just how much it really is a man's world. Everything seems to revolve around the male and as a western male is shockingly different but then you get used to it LOL I think that is why seemingly more Japanese ladies get with western blokes than Vice-versa a lot of which choose to settle in the west (who wouldn't prefer to live in a society where you are treated more fairly!)
So if you think you are living in a man's world now, try living in the far east. You'll be back before you know it LOL!

No way! Women can wrap men around their little finger and also gain respect from other women for being successful at what they do. Behind every powerful man is an even more powerful woman so they say.

Men seized this country using violence and intimidation, things women are not likely to do. Unfortunately, that's how you get power, and men are better at being bullies than women. That's why it's a man's world.
But it shouldn't be. Just look at the state of things....

I'm afraid it is.
In the UK it's mainly men who work down the sewers, work as refuse collectors, work on building sites and join the army. The UK is mainly a labour market.

hey it's been a womans world long before equality,

God, I hope not. Woman fought for their rights and we need to continue doing without becoming bitter towards men.

yeah men control a lot how many girls have you seen being an admiral in the army or a president??
