Human beings are omnivores; that we have some teeth that are good for chewing vegetables and others that are well suited to chew meat demonstrates this. Meat is the easiest form of protein that a human can assimilate. High quality, organically raised meat eliminates many of the negative factors that are typically raised against eating meat.
Also, one has to consider that life thrives upon death. Even the plants we eat have lives that we have ended in order to continue our survival. It is rather elitist to automatically assume that animal life is worth so much more than plant life just because we aren't able to empathize as much with them as with animals. Life feeds on death, one way or another. This too is one of the problems of the human condition.

We need different nutrients from animals in order to function properly. Living on Fruit and vegetables doesn't supply all our nutritious needs. And by eating fruits and vegetables you killing them as well as they too live. We omnivores and unless you from a religion that doesn't allow you to eat meat, then it is allowed. It's part of the food chain i guess.

Plants are also living, breathing creatures.
So its okay to kill a plant, but not an animal?
Plants probably even have a soul. God knows.
By eating animals we help keep the plants alive.
Plants help us breathe, animals eat plants, we eat animals, plants are alive, we can breathe.
Ok, I'm being silly.

Pleasure. Humans get pleasure from animal flesh. We think that the life of an animal is worth less than 15-30 minutes of our pleasure.

Because they're there to be eaten.
Look at your teeth, the incisors, and see
how sharp they are.
Why do you have such sharp teeth?
Simply because you need them to bite into
and cut meat, from the body of animals.

no you can't...you need such nutrients and vitamins (example-protein) that cannot be found in fruits or vegetables, and it helps control the population of such animals like cows...but I think it's mean too, but its part of life
