In Buddism, it is said that every person, regardless of rank, "undergoes the 4 Pains of Life", namely: --

1. The pain of birth

2. The pain of getting old

3. The pain of illness in life

4. The pain of death

So, which of the above 4 pains you feel is the
worst ? Or, you would disagree and say there's
some other pain that is even worse!

I'd say illness. Its a dual pain.. loss of time enjoying life.. and the actual physical pain you endure.
I think birth is just too beautiful of a miracle
Growing old is something i anticipate
death is the ultimate release

so my pick is illness.

The pain of illness is the worst of all. Better off dead than to be living-dead from illness. When one is ill it will affect people who care around you, drain money, and mentally torturing.

The pain of birth is a temporary.

The pain of getting old is all about mentality.

The pain of death is relieve of sufferings.

1. pain of birth { in the sense of actually being born, I guess they say it's very traumatic and one of the reasons we never remember it.}

2. adolesence...{ just sux}

3. being an adult { doesn't get any better after adolesence

4. { getting old}

I don't think they actual death part will hurt..but it might...if it's from an illness, but actually it's the illness that hurts, not the death, death would be the final release of all the pain, we've suffered since birth.

Suffering, according to the Buddha, is caused by attachment to things. Where one is perfectly detached from the pains of birth, sickness, aging, and death, then there is no suffering. Anytime that we attach our attention either to what we desire or what we fear, to what makes us angry or sad, or to anything that we experience no matter how we experience it, the result will be suffering.

Remember: all is impermanent, all is without self. Where all is impermanent, what point is there in clinging to thingness? Where there is no self, no one is there to offend me, and I am not there to take offense. All reside in the suchness. All find repose in the Void. Looking in the empty mirror, I am not there and see no self.

Love should be added to the list, but these are all different types of pain and therefore cannot truly be compared with one another. Plus, I don't believe in that fat *** little man or his philosophy.
