this will make you stop.
Underneath your fingernails is a bacteria that when digested will give you pin worms that crawl around in your intestines and you will have to go to the doctor for medicine to kill the worms

To stop eating nails, you need to break the habit. How? By programming yourself to think that eating nails=yucky. TWO TRICKS: By some no-bite nail polish. They sell it everywhere. OR scrape your nails over a bar of stick deodorant. Not too harmful, but SOOOOO gross tasting if you subconsciously start to nibble the nails. Hope this helps. My nails: long and strong.

I had this problem last year what i did was putting nail polish which tastes nasty, it kind of worked then, tried to put chilly on them or the vegetable or fruit i hated the most and it actually worked i didn't like broccoli rubbed some in my nails the every time i tried to bite them the nasty flavor of broccoli was there then no more biting nails
i tried this over summer(you don't want to go walking in the street with chilly in your nails)
;)

My sister was a very bad nail biter for over 50 years. What she did was have acrylic nails put on for her daughter's wedding and realized that she couldn't bite her nails with them on. She kept getting regular manicures until her own nails grew out underneath the false ones. The habit was broken. She keeps her own nails manicured now and they look very nice.

There is this stuff you can buy that you put on them like nail polish and it tastes very bitter. That will stop you or at least remind you not to bite them. My sister used it on her daughters thumb nail so she would stop sucking her thumb! And it worked.

Everytime you go to bite your nails go do something else with your hands like type on a computer. Then you will forget about biting your nails.

You are oral impulsive - you like to put things in your mouth, possibly OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) -- Try eating carrots when you feel like biting your nails. In addition to eating carrots you must reoslve your unresolved issues.
see ref -
