salvage yards are a good option for replacement wood blocks from schools and hospitals that have been renovated and modernised. just lift damaged or unsightly blocks, along with old bitumen. insert some new bitumen and replace block. sand and varnish when set if wanted/needed.

This flooring is called parquet, you need to go to your local hire shop and hire whats called a floor sanding kit, in this you will get a large belt sander that does the main part of the floor and an edging sander, that does the edges (Funnily enough) you will get sand paper on a sale or return basis and off you go, for both machines it shouldn't cost no more than £40 to £50 pounds to hire, have fun be careful..........
