look....what you say is also a point.......but as for Zidane.....first of all he should know how crucial this match is.....and he is the main player out of both the teams.....and he is the captain.....i has many responsibilities...on him......plus he has experianced it in 32 years of career...and this keeps happening every 5 minutes in the match...and materazzi SAID something.....he should have said something in reply...not hit him.... plus he is a very short tempered guy so this was kind of obvious for him to do that....basically it was expected

I think Zidan is right. I would have beaten him more harder if he has said to me those terrirble words. It is fair for Zidan to be out of the game, because the rules says you should not fight in a match, and if you do, you get a red card. But I think that Zidan has done a very good job to give the Italian player a headbutt in his chest and he desrves it, cause he was a racist, and a shameless player, insulting his mom and sister. It is not only his sister but also his wife when the Italian player took hold of Zidans shirt in a sign of anger and then Zidan told him "If you want my shirt, I will give you after the match" and the dirty Italian replied by saying " I rather get your wife's shirt than yours". See how terrible! I think Italia never deserves the World cup but deserves to be punished by getting kicked out of the game and never to play again. Although after all this, (bad words to mother, sister and wife) Zidan kept quite. The time when Zidan attacked him is when the Italian player said to Zidan "Vaffanculo" while Zidan was walking from him which means **** off! I think the Italian player wanted Zidan to be angry and then start a fight and then go out. But it is a good think that now investigations are going out but if they didn't find the right proof of what the Italian player said, Italian national football team is not going to be punished.

It was the World Cup, not the Olympics. Whose to say what was said. One person says one thing, the other says something else. Regardless the French player had no right to attack the Italian player. The official was corrected in throwing the French player out of the game.

That's the World Cup, not the Olympics.
That's crazy...so if you're playing softball and the 1st baseman says something nasty about you and your mother, you're gonna head-butt him?
As lousy as it is, that's what sport have become. Sportsmanship doesn't exist anymore, but that doesn't justify a physical assaulting upon another player, even if the other guy did play it up to make it look worse than it was....

The rules of the game dont say you cant call somebody's mother a terrorist but they do say you cant headbutt somebody. Ziadiane just needs to learn to deal with it and just play the game.

i agree that the italian guy waz wrong but he knew that Zidane waz tempermental and all worked up so he wanted 2 piss him off and get him sent off, so he didnt mean it. Zidane was pretty stupid for falling 4 the trick and he shood learn how to control his anger.
it was the world cup by the way.
