nice point but if one were going to commit a crime with a firearm they'd get it on the black-market where there are no records and no waiting period.
personally, I didn't think much of Clinton's admin but Bush's has made his look SOOOO much better in hindsight

If the Brady Bill was great, why did you see a rise in violent crime under Clinton's presidency the year after the bill was signed. The Brady Bill is bad leglslation......just like that stupid "assault" rifle ban that did nothing. When you take away the guns of the citizens, only crinimals and the government have guns. That placed you at the mercy of the government and criminals.

Come on, you are living in a fairy tale world. Do you really think most criminals buy their guns from legitimate gun dealers? They buy them on the street and I don't think they do background checks. I could be wrong? Maybe Leroy down on the corner has some way of doing background checks and will not sell to someone with a record? All this does is slow the process for law abiding gun owners. What color is the sky in your world?

A crime free person can buy a gun. Whoo Hoo. They can still give it to anyone else. My bf bought me my gun. They know he bought but they do not know I have it.
