No. It is one of the great myths of America's politically correct society. The fact is that a person born with no eyes can not be a spotter for a Nascar team. A person with a peanut allergy can not be a food taster for a company that makes foods with nuts in them. A woman can not play basketball for the NBA. She has to go to the WNBA. A man can not compete on the LPGA circuit. A person with cerebral palsy can play soccer, but will never be able to play at the World Cup level. A person with no tongue would probably have a hard time being a language teacher. There are just some things that are physically impossible for some people to do; either because of physical deficiencies or rules regarding physical difference.

No. We are not born equal and we are not bor with equal opportunity. We are also not all good at everything. And some people are not intelligent enough or lucky enough to do certain things. A short person can't play for the NBA. A blind person can't become a truck driver. An ugly person can't be a model. Some people are bad at math and science while others are lousy at other things. Sorry to day it but it is the truth. And many people live in countries where there is no chance of work!

Today IS the future. EACH day is the future. Whatever you want to achieve do it each day. One doesn't play piano or violin in a symphony orchestra just by wishing. One daily practices. Einstein knew nothing when he was born, but achieved knowledge and fame by working toward his goal each day; working out a hard math problem until it made sense. I wanted to be a pianist, but can not be. Know your weaknesses and strengths. But do NOT put Bible learning aside. The Bible is more savvy in the 66 books of which it is composted, than all the books in the world's libraries. If you want to live forever in a peaceful, happy world, than Psalm 37:11 says "The meek ones themselves will possess the earth." The model prayer says "Let your kingdom come, let your will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven. In other words, think about your spiritual future as well as your earthly "future". Wiill you achieve everything you want to? That depends on your health, wealth, how many things you wans to achieve. You have a lot to think about. Besides you could die at any moment. (Sorry)

If it is humanly possible, then , yes, you can achieve 99% of what you want. Your commitment must equal or surpass the commitment made by others who have achieved what you want. Study ohters who have succeeded, ask what it took for them to get where they are at. Weigh the cosequences(if any) against the rewards and decide if you want all that. In order to succeed, look at the mistakes others made, and try to learn from them. If they became lazy, spendthrift, not driven anymore, then you do the opposite in order to succeed. Set reachable goals for yourself, shortterm, so that you don't get disdouraged easily. Don't try to go it alone, involve your family / friend. Pick something you will enjoy doing for a long time. If you love your job, you will do / be much better at it. Remember, " A LOSER NEVER WINS, AND A WINNER NEVER LOSES". Go for it, good luck !

Dear Dagmawi,

Please read this completely. In general, the answer of your question is 'no'. Here are a few reasons:

1) You cannot get anything simply by desiring to get that thing. You will have to put efforts also to achieve it. If you don't put efforts, you will not get what you want.

2) Everything has got its feasibility to happen. So if that thing is not at all feasible how will you get it.

But if what you want is feasible and you are putting your efforts, then don't think whether you will get it or not now itself. This thinking will demoralize and restrict your efforts. Be positive, and think, you will get it. Put as much hard work as you can, and you will get it.

Cheers
Dev

There are limits to what one can achieve. Obviously, if one has little education and less science skills, then it is highly improbable that you'll become an astronaut, for example.

However, if you understand your limitations, and
if you change those limitations that you can change, and cope with those that you can't: then you should be able to achieve any reasonable goal that you set. By reasonable, it is meant that one set goals that one can realistically be expected to reach. We all have apples that are far beyond our reach; it is better to strive for those that we can reach if we but stretch a little.

Sadly, it is not always possible. There are things that I know I can do but because I don't have the money to do it, I can't. Some achievements have a high monetary cost.

I think a lot of that is determined by how realistic your wants are, and how much you want to achieve. I also think that how hard you are willing to work for those things is also a major factor. Another factor I think, is whether those things that you desire are truly meant to be in the universal scheme of things.

It depends what your targets are.
Many times even simples things you may not achieve.
Wish to grow, that is in every human being. What is more important is what your aims are and the ways you adopt.
