Are bodock trees poisonous, and if so, what part of the tree? How poisonous are they? I mean...will you get sick, get a rash, etc.? My husband clears right-of-ways and ended up "pulling brush" of a bodock tree, and it rubbed against his arm. All the other guys told him he would probably get so sick he would be out of work for a few days. Is that true or where they just messing with him?

I'd say messing -- see below:

Danger:
Parts of plant are poisonous if ingested
Plant has spines or sharp edges; use extreme caution when handling

Looks like he was in more danger from the spines than anything else, unless he was munching on it. I do know if the thorns lodge under your skin, it can cause an infection, so watch out for that. But that's true of any puncture. Hope he is okay.

you seem to be under the assumption that god has no desires or wants. god created the angels as perfect servants to understand him and to have as a bar or goal for his next creations. humans were created with free will, why you ask because if we were made with out it then our worship of him is hollow and worthless so yes god knew that putting the tree of knowledge there was probably to our detriment but only once we truly had a choice could the worship we give him be pure and precious. now the real question you should have asked is why does god desire worship. that's one the mystery's of god I would guess. the bible just says god wants it. I imagine if you or I were god then we would want that too. its the only thing of value when you know everything, created everything, and created time so you are outside its influence. the way I look at it is god created free will for results. he already knows the answer to those but the fact that results of choice happen at all pleases god I would imagine.
