Sometimes a squirt bottle (for the rain scene) and a piece of toast (for the "toast"). But it depends on the theater: some won't allow these, and will confiscate them at the door.

Other items:

* Newspapers (for front and middle rows to shield themselves from rain)
* Flashlights or cigarette lighters ("There's a Light" verse of "Over at Frankenstein Place")
* Rubber gloves (during and after the creation speech, Frank snaps his gloves three times)
* Noisemakers (the Transylvanians applaud Frank's creation - so should you)
* Toilet paper [preferably "Scott's" brand] (when Brad yells "Great scott!", throw a roll)
* Confetti (at the end of the "Charles Atlas" reprise, the Transylvanians throw confetti)
* Toast (when Frank proposes a toast at dinner)
* Party hat (when Frank puts on his hat to wish Rocky happy birthday, so does the audience)
* Bell ("When we made it/did you hear a bell ring?")
* Cards ("Cards for sorrow/cards for pain")

You can bring anything at this point. You used to have to dress up as the characters, putting on wigs and face paint and so on, but now you're ok with torn shirts, funny hats, and the like.

It's a loud and rollicking show. The audience screams at the screen, popcorn is thrown everywhere, and people run up to the screen to help turn the globe.

Be prepared to laugh yourself senseless.

All of these are handy items:

water gun - rain scenes
rice - wedding
bread - toast
toilet paper - unrolling ceremony

of course crowd participation with brought objects varies from locale to locale and has been somewhat less in fashion in recent years. You may want to just go the first time and see what other people are doing in your area.

Considering how some theatres (not all, mind you) feel about "performances" the best thing to do is attend a showing like you would any other movie and see what is and isn't allowed first.
Then the next time you can go appropriately.

An open attitude.

However, the basics include rice, hot dogs, toast and a lighter. Some bring a squirt gun.
