I do believe in rock-and-roll and music can save my mortal soul is as long as I still exist in this very world that I am living in right at this very moment in time. And I really do like rock-and-roll bands such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Fountains of Wayne, The Click Five, U2, Coldplay, and the Barenaked Ladies, they rock!!!!! I also like The Spice Girls, they're awesome. Rock-and-roll is almost the only kind of music in this world that I grew up on!

The song relates to Buddy Holly. I was privileged to see him perform. A magic show. I also saw Gene VIncent, Bill Haley & the Comets, Little Richard and british stars like Marty Wilde, Wee Willie Harris, Tommy Steele and many more. They were real rock'n'roll stars. They were great times in music. Songs you will remember now decades later. Today we have throw away music.
