Yep same as what x_apimpnamed said, but if you meant the main search bar on Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Internet Options, and in the General Tab clicking on Delete Cookies, Delete Files (with the "Delete all offline content" box ticked) and Clear history will pretty much wipe out all your surfing history.

Hmmm, maybe I should change my name to fastlearner...

if you're using Internet Explorer, go to Tools
Under the tab: "Content" you will see a button that says "Auto Complete" click on that and click on the button that says "clear forms" and "clear passwords" (if you had any passwords saved)

If you don't want any of those text matches anymore, uncheck the boxes that are also there according to which one you want to deactivate Autocomplete:

*Web Addresses
*Forms
*Usernames and Passwords on Forms

If you're using Mozilla, click on Tools< Internet Options
and click on Privacy(i think) and look for the headline that says something like: "Saved Form Information" and click on the clear button beside that until it becomes transparent and unclickable. If you don't want it to save your form entries, click on the headline (Saved Form Information) and uncheck the checkbox underneath.
