Hey
no it isnt forbidden, however it is wrong on soo many levels. Blood reletives shouldnt ever marry because other than the fact of being just creepy, and illegal here, it isnt right because if you and cousin deceide to ever have children you run the risk of your children being retarded. Why would you want to do that? on purpose, ? You shouldnt ever consider this, how about be friends and look for someone that possess those qualities that you might find attractive in your cousin...believe me there are enough people out there!
And by all means go to church!

I know at one time, it was certainly not uncommon to marry second or third cousins, especially in closed communities such as the Amish. Royals families often tended to intermarry in order to keep the power within the family.

So, I would assume its not explicitly forbidden, however not the best idea due to the likelyhood of birth defects that often result.

Leviticus Chapter 18
The Lord in the 7th verse through verse 18 begins a long enumerated list of improper sexual relationships. They are with one’s parents or stepparents(7-8), sisters and half and step sisters (9-11), granddaughters(10), paternal and maternal aunts and wives of paternal uncles (11-14),. Also forbidden was sexual relationships with daughters-in-law (15) sisters-in-law (16-18), step daughters and grand step daughters (17),

No, but it is against the law in America. Incest in this country is regulated through two parallel sets of laws: marriage regulations and criminal prohibitions. Marriage laws prohibit unions of parties within certain relationships of consanguinity (by blood) or affinity (by marriage). They declare such marriages void from the start.

Criminal laws prohibit marriage and sexual relationships based on the same ties (with the necessary consanguinity and affinity usually defined the same way as in the marriage laws). They penalize those who disobey with fines or imprisonment.

Every state today has a statute defining eligibility for marriage, and each and every one prohibits marriages between parents and children, sisters and brothers, uncles and nieces, and aunts and nephews. Some prohibit all ancestor/descendant marriages, regardless of degree. Four states extend the prohibition to marriages between parents and their adopted children.

Forbidden or not, jump in the gene pool buddy! Close family relations do NOT mean that unless you are interested in getting your kids on Ripley's.
