the official cause was...
The late Eddie Guerrero's wife, Vickie, told WWE.com today (November 15) that the cause of Eddie's death was due to heart failure. According to Vickie Guerrero, “It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep."
She went on to say that Eddie had been feeling unwell and tired for the past week but attributed it to being "road tired."
Eddie Guerrero, 38, one of WWE Smackdown's brightest stars, died Sunday, November 13, in a Minneapolis hotel room in the early hours of the morning. He was to wrestle for the World Heavyweight Belt against Champion Batista and Randy Orton in a televised "Supershow" that would have aired Friday on Smackdown.
Eddie had just celebrated his fourth year of sobriety. He had battled alcohol and pain killer addiction over the years but had finally kicked them all and became a born again Christian.
and, of course, that chair shot by mr. kennedy didn't help at all...

On November 13, 2005, Guerrero was found dead (By steroids) in his hotel room in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Marriott City Center Hotel by his nephew, Chavo. He was 38 years old. Several hours later, WWE.com released the following announcement:
"WWE is deeply saddened by the news that Eddie Guerrero has passed away. He was found dead this morning in his hotel room in Minneapolis. Eddie is survived by his wife Vickie and daughters Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3."
The same day, WWE held a press conference with a speech from his nephew Chavo, who spoke of Guerrero's four years of sobriety that would have come on November 15, 2005. Chavo adamantly defended his uncle, saying he had defeated his "personal demons." WWE Chairman Vince McMahon declined to speculate on the causes of Guerrero's death, and both men said that Guerrero would have "wanted the show to go on."

Something to do with his heart, his veins had shriveled up because of all the drugs and steroids he took and he fell into a deep sleep and passed away peacefully.

Eddie died from heart failure. His tubes connected to his heart were getting smaller and smaller until they finally gave up, and it was all from his years of drugs.
