I LOVE mysteries. The thing that stinks is, I'm 11, and there aren't any good mysteries out there because people writing for people my age don't want to be 'Gruesome'. I like The Roman Mysteries series by Caroline Lawrence and The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. I think I've read the Westing Game more times than any other book I've ever read. I love it! I also like to read Chick Lit books like The Pprincess Diaries when I'm not feeling as intellectual. I am from the United States and my mother is a librarian so I love books. I used to live in a not-so-intellectual part of Michigan but now I live in DC and I love it!

Fiction...both fiction that makes you think (like Dan Brown's books) and trashy romance novels that actually have a plot as well as the romance (like Tara Janzen and Carly Phillips).

mysteries, particularly historical ones is my favorite genre to read. That and fantasy (not the cheezy elfin stuff). I find that mysteries keep my brain active by thinking about all the alternative hypotheses.
