Akinori Otsuka, Takashi Saito, and Scott Olsen for Edmonds, Billy Wagner, and Danys Báez? I do realize that I am giving up two saves people for one, but Billy Wagner will get more saves a week than the both of them and in my league Holds is a category, Baez will give me holds? what should i do?

I'd pull the trigger.

If Otsuka slips at all, I think Texas would put Cordero back in at closer, whereas Billy Wagner really has no chance (barring injury) at losing his job.

Olsen has done amazingly well for a kid so far this season, but if you have any depth at starter, he's not too hard to give up. Edmonds isn't going to be the hitter he once was, but he'll still get plenty of RBI opportunities batting behind Pujols and Rolen.

And Baez should be a valuable holds guy, with the possibility of the occasional save.

It depends. Are you winning in saves? If not, then reject the trade. If you are and holds are a weak spot for you, then accpet this trade. If you are weak in both spots, reject the trade because Otsuka and Saito will get more saves than Baez holds.

btw, Otsuka and Wagner are pretty even by stats.

Otsuka Wagner
ERA 2.13 2.43
W-L 2-3 3-1
K 30 52
WHIP 0.92 1.11

I would closers get flipped all the time. Wagner is solid and if holds is a category Baez will hel you.

Sounds like a good trade especially if you need help in your OF, holds being a category makes this a no brainer

No, in fantasy baseball closers are of more value than any other position.
