Mythbusters did an episode on eliminating skunk spray's odor. They found that hydrogen peroxide workred best (the summary of the show is below).
To put that theory into a usable procatice "A biologist from the West Virginia Department of Agriculture tested
the following mixture by dousing a road-kill skunk. The 'fragrant'
animal became completely deodorized.
• 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide formula (from a pharmacy)
• 1/4 cup baking soda
• 1 tsp. liquid soap
Mix together and wash animal, being careful to keep mixture out of
animal's eyes, nose, and mouth. Rinse with tap water.
MYTHBUSTERS SUMMARY:
Skunks decontamination
Fun fact: skunk spray is made up of 'thiols', which is responsible for some of the bad smell of decomposing flesh and feces.
In the tradition of the stinky pigs, Jamie and Adam volunteered to get skunked in order to test various stink remedies. The only problem was it's a lot harder to get skunked than you might think. Critter control brought by three different skunks, but Jamie and Adam were unable to get any of the three to spray them while they jumped and battered their cages. As Adam said, they must have encountered "Buddha reincarnated as a skunk." More likely, the skunks, having already been captured either used up their spray or couldn't possibly be more frightened. They even tried synthetic skunk spray, but discovered that it loses its pungency fairly quickly.
They finally got some skunk spray by releasing the third skunk in the women's bathroom, though after trying a couple of the remedies, they had to revert to the synthetic spray for some of the testing. Scottie Chapman served as both smell tester as well as female Adam, delivering this segment's colorful dialogue.
Results of the various cleansers:
Tomato juice: smelled like a "bloody mary," but no skunk. plausible
Beer (MGD): used to cleanup bathroom where skunk sprayed. "Smells like the men's room at a dive bar." busted
Douche: Adam took a swig to verify that it's composed vinegar and water. "Not so fresh." busted
Hydrogen peroxide + baking soda + liquid dish soap: it worked. Apparently the mixture releases oxygen compounds that bond with thiols and neutralize their smell. confirmed
Commercial skunk remover: worked, but not as well as the hydrogen peroxide mixture. ok

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU799
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Lots and Lots of Tomato juice. Soak their fur in it the cat you will probably have to do it with a sponge. But after the tomato juice is on them leave it on for about a half hour and then rinse off and do it again. This really works.

Do not use tomatoe juice, it will not work, and just shampooing will give you a wet stinky cat or dog. You need something to nutrolize the odor.. this really does work and is great.
Combine:
1 quart 3% hydrigen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 tsp. liquid soap
Work into the coat and rinse well

Our German Shepard loves chasing those funny black and white cats. We have used the baking soda, peroxide and shampoo mix before with success. The best thing to do is wash the dog with some kind of soap or detergent to break down the smell and get some of the immediate stink off. Then we usually have to make a run to the store for either baking soda or a big bottle of peroxide. It works very good.

I asked this question about my dog a week or so back....
Someone told me that a mixture of 2 bottles of peroxide, with baking soda (1/2 cup) and a squirt of dish soap should be sponged over the animal and left on for 10-15 minutes...rinse with plenty on plain water and it does wonders....Check out my Sammyleggs222 questions for all the answers I received by clicking on my smiley face picture and check my questions asked...the people who responded were sure helpful....Hope this helps......
PS: There are products out there too at pet shops and online...never had to use any, wanted a reference point in case I ever needed too in the future.....
