It's called "homophobia" for a reason. There are a lot of straight men who are literally afraid that if they become accepting of gay men then they too might be gay. Notice how no man on this planet (other than maybe gay ones) have a problem with women being gay, it's just about the men.

well ur right about the part that there will be more women.........but there are many reason due to which a straight guy hates a gay guy:
1. If ur with a gay guy the every 1 will think that ur gay and will lose on the women ur talking about.
2. Most of the community does not accept gay guys so if ur with them than ur in trouble as well.
3. There is always a risk that the gay guy will be attracted to you which will make a straight guy uncomfortable.
and personally i think that's disgusting.

Your theory is kinda off, because the more homosexuals there are, the more acceptable homosexuality becomes, which makes same sex relationships more acceptable, making lesbians more acceptable.
But as far as straight guys hating gay guys, I don't think there is any need. I mean, when I see 2 guys kissing, I kinda think that is very disgusting personally, but it's none of my business, and this is a free country.
This country started from us fleeing from england to obtain freedom from those who oppressed us, that is why we celebrate July 4, it IS called Independence Day for a reason, people seem to forget why USA is called the great country that is is, why they say this country is free, because we get to make whatever choices we want without prejudice and racism, well, a country without prejudice and racism is how this country SHOULD be anyway......

I don't hate homosexual men, but they piss me off. Why? Not because of their sexual orientation, and not because I'm a Christian and I know from The Bible that homosexuality is a sin (but God still loves us all, including homosexuals, serial killers, radical Muslims, etc.) What pisses me off about homosexual men is their very confrontational in-your-face attitude of "You have to accept my lifestyle." No, I don't. I have every right to believe that a homosexual lifestyle is unacceptable, and I have every right to say it. And just because I believe that doesn't make me (or anyone else who believes as I do) a narrow-minded, inflexible elitist. It simply means I have an opinion. The other thing that pisses me off about homosexuals is their assertion that "I was born this way" or "I can't help it." Come on. Is someone holding a gun to your head saying "You will be gay or I'll blow your brains out?" Homosexuality is a CHOICE, period. There are many things in someone's life that can influence that choice, but in the end YOU make the decision to be gay or straight. Anyone who says they were born that way is a liar and a wimp who (a) is doing something wrong, (b) KNOWS they're doing something wrong, and (c) is just looking for someone else to tell them what they're doing is OK. BULLS***!!!

Many straight men are threatened by gay men. Because they are not entirely comfortable with their own sexuality.
And most men that "hate" any particular type of person, usually don't come into contact with them much... isolation in the insulated safe suburbs, with only fictional television and extremist news commentators to base their opinions of people on...
I firmly believe everyone could benefit from spending a few years as the minority somewhere...
Side note:
Note how many say, "I don't have a problem as long as they dont hit on me." So what? At very most it's a compliment, at least it is a non-mutual attraction... who cares.. grow up boys... i have been hit on by my share of gay men, and it hasn't even come close to affecting my attraction to women etc.
Not to mention, the guys that usually say that, a gay man wouldn't want in a million years, they are not roving sex fiends...

I'm not a guy, but I think the straights dislike the gays because it lessens their masculinity, they probably see them as a disgrace to men (men as sex not humanity). I just guess:p
And you know it's true what you said, the more gays we have, the more available women there is. Sometimes I see a good-looking guy and when I find out that he's gay, I'd feel sorry, thinking "damn, he's gay??? He could have been mine!":p
(3 minutes after) Omg, well said sarge!!! You sound so strong... :p

very few. i do not imagine they could specifically purpose in simple terms immediately adult men - yet possibly society more often than not. some gay human beings prefer to isolate themselves from all immediately human beings so they do no longer ought to manage their prejudices. except that i'd say no. gay human beings are in basic terms 10 % of the inhabitants. we are very a lot part of the community. How ought to we hate our fathers, brothers, sons, uncles, grandfathers, friends and nephews? besides - the gay community has the attractiveness for being the most accepting their is. we are all so diverse and from one of those number of decrease back grounds. we've had to go back to words with our selves and one yet another and we've advanced a range of of empathy and awareness. all of us recognize how others imagine and we've empathy. So i'd say that the large majority of gay human beings like immediately human beings. We received't like how they manage us each and every of the time - yet we adore them.

People who hate homosexuals or even disgusted by them feel insecure about their own sexuality. That's all. And really homosexuals can be homophobic as well, because homophobia has a double meaning. The other meaning is "fear of homo sapiens or humans". So wouldn't you be afraid of a creature that's trying to hurt you for your sexual preference?

I dont think all straight guys hate gays, i think alot of them think that two men together is disgusting. they have a right to feel that way as long as they dont abuse or put down gays. Just becasue a man thinks gayness is gross doesnt mean he's homophobic, it just means that he thinks its nasty. I think gays need to stop trying to force everyone to accept that lifestyle.
